Wendy Clark's creative blog on DashBurst. The Wendy Clark Band is a Denver-based original rock band that has evolved from Tequila Mockingbird. Active on the Front Range music circuit and indie scene since 1996, Wendy is a singer, composer, rhythm guitarist, bandleader, independent-recording artist, manager, and promoter. Her music is classified under roots-rock but adds an unmistakable playful voice and infectious melody combined with modern philosophical meanderings and “been there, hated that” themes mixed with a twinge of nostalgia, that are catchy, powerful, and kept fresh by delving into multiple genres. Wendy has released three critically-acclaimed full-length CDs under the moniker Tequila Mockingbird, has performed over 1,000 festivals and gigs regionally including A Taste of Colorado, Adams County Fair, The CHUN Peoples Fair (1998-present), toured in the Rockies into Wyoming and through New Mexico, appeared on live TV and radio (Denver's Channel 2 Evening News, KRFC FM, and 1190 AM), released dozens of videos (The Honeymoon and Catching On receiving tens of thousands of views on her YouTube), and opened at sold out shows for bands such as Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, The Samples, Bob Schneider, and Chris Daniels and The Kings. She has opened up for Tim McGraw at Fiddler’s Green, sat in with The Refreshments, Hazel Miller, and backed up Brian Blush (The Refreshments) and Jamon Scott (The Toluenes) as well as collaborated and recorded with bassist Rob Squires of Big Head Todd and the Monsters on UFO (1998). Wendy has also worked with award-winning sound engineers/producers Eric Shiveley (Alien-American 2004) and Bill Thomas (UFO 1998, Luck and Trouble 2010) and multi-GRAMMY recipient, David Glasser. http://wendyclark.net http://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/TequilaMockingbird - Wendy Clark

Wendy Clark September 4 - Wendy Clark Band

"The Method" by Wendy Clark and Chris Coward of ¡DOS LOCOS! performed at Gennaro's Cafe on Saturday, April 13, 2019. Filmed by Michael Kuhl.

"The Method" was the first track off the first Tequila Mockingbird album titled UFO. If you are looking for the track for UFO, though you may think it would be on the first album which is named after the song itself, but it is actually the fifth track off their next album titled Alien-American. Neither is on the third album titled Luck and Trouble. Stay tuned for our new EP we are dropping in 2020. Or sooner. Thanks for watching!

are you a victim of your mind
a blinded prisoner trapped inside
do you run away and hide
will you save yourself from the rising tide
it's nobody's business you tell yourself
I won't sacrifice that for nobody else
close every door because only you know
you got nothing to do you've got nowhere to go
I sell the book page by page
the method is getting pretty strange
I write the book page by page
are you a victim of your rage?

The past couple of months, I have rode many miles and saw some of the best and the very worst that some strange folk will test your last double-take in fear or wonder.
