Montana's Glacier National Park has one road that traverses the park from east to west ... the Going-to-the-Sun Road. It was designed to give access to the park while preserving the park's beauty. In my opinion, the effort was an outstanding success: as demonstrated by this spectacular view looking up the valley to Logan Pass. The road is visible; but unless it is pointed out, it's difficult to identify its line.
