The overlook at Carson Pass, California has views of Red Lake and Hope Valley ... which is famous for its fall colors. This year in early October the colors were just beginning to show; but what the foliage lacked in color, the orange in this sunrise made up for. As the sun peeked over the horizon, it cast a wonderful light on the high points of the landscape.
