I enjoy the Alabama Hills in Lone Pine, CA for the variety of settings, and of course the best ones come in the early morning and late in the evening. On this day I was blessed to have a full moon setting at dawn and the Sierra colored a little pink, with the early dawn sky to the east. I so enjoy seeing Gods great creation at these times.
The tall peaks of the Sierra at Mount Whitney block the sun as it approaches sunset, producing a fantastic sun flare as if to crown the Sierra in glory. The jagged crest of the mountains produce a nice radiating ray effect. It's a wonderful sight to see!
