A cloud of haze at the horizon turned the sunlight a beautiful shade of red, lighting up the beach area of the Road's End State Recreation Site in Lincoln City, Oregon. This is a long beach, which extends out to the point in the distance. The wind was quite gusty prior to sunset, leaving the beach swept free of most footprints.
Cape Cove is an beautiful place to enjoy the sunset. It's located just below the Heceta Head Lighthouse on the Oregon coast, and has Cape Creek (seen in the foreground) flowing into its waters. The view of Heceta Head Lighthouse is a bit obscured by the trees, but its light shines through.
