It's not uncommon to see veins of gold (aspen trees) running up a mountain, but you don't always see them with the moon punctuating the sight. This scene was found on South Lake Road near Bishop, California. The yellow of the aspen trees and the blue of the sky are a great color combination.
Intake II is a small manmade lake on Bishop Creek, which is much more appealing than its nondescript name would lead you to believe. I first heard of this area from a gentleman in the Bishop, California Visitors Center and was pleased to discover this beautiful lake in the mountains to the west. On this morning I had great light and calm winds, allowing me to capture the colors and their reflection ... with a hint of lake-fog on the water.
