Famous for his thought provoking negative space artwork, Tang Yau Hoong is an illustrator based out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Hoong has just released a brilliant new series where he pairs clever illustrations with famous quotes. In one of his favorite new prints below, Hoong takes Steve Jobs' popular quote, "Stay Hungry Stay Foolish" and illustrates it by placing two half eaten apples next to each other. So if you look within the negative space, you can subtly make out the silhouette of Steve Jobs.
In an interview with My Modern Met, Hoong explains the inspiration behind his art:
I enjoy making illusion art because it has the ability to mislead us. We rely on sight in our lives and yet it is so fragile that we could easily be deceived by what we see.
