9 Glowing City Skyline Photos of Modern Day Urban Empires
By Daniel Zeevi
Meet Dominic Kamp, an English banker based out of London and a landscape photographer. Though Dominic hasn’t been doing photography for very long—he picked it up as a hobby in 2007 when he bought his first DSLR camera—he has since captured some brilliant photographs of urban landscapes like New York, Zurich and Paris. He uses a variety of equipment like the Nikon D700 and Sigma 50mm, and boasts an impressive portfolio of 300+ works and over 100 desktop wallpapers.
Dominic explains his interest:
Photography is not only a hobby to me but a way to relax and rest my mind. Once I grab my camera, I sometimes find myself almost hypnotized with the beauty of our surrounding environment. The perfect balance to a stressful workday!”
Dominic never formally studied photography preferring the “learning by doing” approach, which is, he believes, the best way to pick up theoretical and practical knowledge. Just like in life, photography can be a process of trial and error, but it would be hard to find any faults in these gems from Dominic’s flickr collection here today:
